I'd be very interested to hear about what happens at your panel on the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis.

I'll try to take coherent notes (well, mental notes, since it's after the sabbath starts and I therefore won't be able to write anything down) and post a synopsis. The panel seems to be a mix of linguists and non-linguists who have an interest in the subject of language and thought. I think we'll have a good discussion.

I just yesterday passed the link to your recent discussion (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ozarque/189530.html) of Sapir-Whorf to my co-panelists as a jumping-off point for our pre-panel discussion.

If it turns out to be easy for you to take those mental notes, I'll be very interested in what they contain -- but please don't do this if it's a hassle. It's hard to enjoy a panel, and do a good job with one. while keeping a mental record at the same time; please put enjoyment and participation first on your list of goals.

FYI, there are two more Sapir-Whorf-related posts in this journal -- at http://www.livejournal.com/users/ozarque/116513.html and at http://www.livejournal.com/users/ozarque/120130.html . The link to my partial index to posts is at http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=ozarque .

I tend to remember key bits from panels I'm on, and [personal profile] mabfan always attends my panels, so he helps refresh my memory. So fear not; it's no hassle.

And thanks so much for the links to your other Sapir-Whorf-related posts.
