An odd milestone
Oct. 19th, 2004 10:29 amI graduated from BU in May 1994. As of this month, my college education is completely paid for. I should be getting the promisory notes for my Stafford and Perkins loans (of which there were multiple over the years of my education) in the next couple of months.
It's bizarre to think I've been out of college for 10 years; it's further bizarre to think that I've finally finished dealing with the loans. I still remember back at the beginning of my freshman year in college having a pre-loan interview in which they emphasized the fact that failure to pay my loans back could have serious impact on future loans, including mortgages and car loans. Which, to a 19-year-old, seemed like things that were a lifetime away.
