never saw star blazers (and if i did when i was wee i certainly don't remember), but that is SO DAMN COOL. and unlike the lego serenity (snack and full size) it looks like it was made with a minimum of fancy parts.... like, your average lego freak could invest in a billion red and gray blocks in assorted sizes and built it him or herself. neat!

If it was anyone else, I would hold my tongue on the correction, but...

"Yamato". Not "Yamoto".

I loved that show. My favourite shout-out to it was from the game Starcraft, where the biggest upgrade to the battlecruiser ship class is called the "Yamato Gun" -- I guess they figured "Wave Motion Gun" would sound silly to people who didn't get the reference.
