Unstuck in Title
Mar. 28th, 2006 01:50 pmTime was (as
eal can attest), I couldn't start writing until I had a title for the piece I was writing, be it fiction or non-fiction. It didn't even have to be the final title; I just needed something to call the story. While this has changed, and I can write at least something while still titleless, I still don't feel right until I have something to call whatever it is I'm writing.
Since late January, I've been poking on and off at a story that had no title. And the more I worked on the story, fleshed it out, the more frustrated I grew at the lack of title. I came to call it "that thing with no title," or by its main characters' names, but it bothered me that I had no title.
Today, through a random conversation, I finally came up with a title.
Therefore, I wanted to publicly thank
byrne for helping shake my title free.
And, for the record, the title will be "Something to Do With Luck."
