After the Memorial Day ceremony in Brookline, we spoke to a reporter from the Brookline TAB who was covering the event. We spoke to her for a couple of minutes about why we came out to the event. And this morning, the TAB published her article, in which I was quoted. While I dispute her lead-in to my first quote, the rest of what she reports is accurate.

Also, she spelled both of my names correctly, which pleases me.

Hey, and being quoted using money words like "inculcate" is pretty cool, too. ;-)

Heh. Sometimes I wonder if I sound like I swallowed the dictionary.

(Mmm! Tasty!)

Not at all. Though it goes down better with a nice big glass of Thesaurus. :-)

And a side of synonyms?

Mm, yeah.

If I have a bit of indegestion afterwards, I can always chew a couple of antonyms, and that'll clear it right up.

I grew up in a household where one had to pun to survive. It became ingrained.

Was that "survival of the Wittest"?

Weak, I know, but it made me laugh.

Hee! Very clever.

My father used to (and occasionally will still) call the last piece of spaghetti "Pasta's Last Strand."

Yeah, it was that sort of household.

I happened to see the article even though I didn't know it was going to be there.

Do you have a scrapbook to keep articles in? As I recall, this isn't the first time you've gotten your name in the papers. :)
