FYI, NSB: there is going to be a Buffy comic with Joss as chief writer in April; and a Next Gen comic from IDW, (IIRC). FWIW.

Mm, yeah. MAB's planning on picking it up. I'll be sure to mention it on the panel.

Aha, so that's why I didn't get onto the Pluto Panel (it conflicts with another of my panels.)

Makes sense.

What panel is it conflicting with for you?

Yay! I look forward to seeing you at con!

It's fun, going to cons and seeing folks you haven't seen since the last con.

Come by my birthday thing on Saturday night, if you can! :-)

Excellent! I don't think I have plans. When/where?
Email me with details (email found at my user info) if you don't want to make too many details public.
But I will certainly come by and wish you well!!

Saturday night, our room. We usually start during the masquerade and go until we all fall over.

I mentioned it in passing in my rambly bits post this morning, but there will be a more in-depth announcement on Friday morning.

I am amused that you're on a crafting panel on Shabbat.

From: [identity profile] gnomi.livejournal.com
Heh. Yeah. Especially because I'd requested, if possible, that it be on Sunday. However, there's no actual crafting that'll be taking place during the panel, as far as I know, so I have no problems.

I'll be bringing something that's on needles and therefore possibly muktzeh, but that's the biggest issue. And I could take it off needles and put it on a holder for the panel (well, do that, say, Thursday night) so it's less of a chashash.

Get a non-Jewish friend to take the project to the panel room for you and ask a non-Jewish panelist to hold it up?

Date: 2007-01-09 11:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gnomi.livejournal.com
Mm, yeah. Possibly. Or I'll put it in my bag before Shabbat and have a non-Jewish panelist take it out and lay it out for me. Or something like that.

So 'splain your Saturday at 3p panel.

Here's the panel description from the Program Guide:

"Share your interest in these growing hobbies in fandom. Love to start but don't know where? How to spin an SF theme into these crafts and thus marry your two loving hobbies."

So, I'll be bringing the on-needles robot illusion scarf I'm doing, patterns for a couple of other SF/fantasy-related projects, and photos of the scarf I made for [profile] beths_stanley a couple of years ago. I'm also bringing a list of online resources for science fictional/fantasy knitting patterns that I've drafted.

oh very cool. I'd let you use the ill-fated Harry Potter scarf, but it's well, ill-fated ;)

Heh. I remember that scarf. It's the reason that my 16" size 8 circ is on vacation in Florida, yes?

I think I may as well send you a check at this point because I'm not even sure where it is right now.

P 'straightened' the sewing room. Sigh.

Eh, no worries. I've got a second one (which is why I could send mine off on an extended vacation without giving it a second thought). So don't stress about it.
