OK, I don't usually do this... at all

"This" being song parody. Or, at least, not in public.

But... last night in a chat I was on, somehow (and, no, this isn't a request for the conversation to be reconstructed) the phrase "F-List on the Roof" got bandied about (I think it was cbpotts who used it).

And my brain wouldn't let it go.

(and, yeah, I know my rhyme scheme is nonexistent. Such is life.)

Thus, I bring you what is likely to be the only song from said musical:

There is no rhyme scheme in "Tradition," so you can't be faulted for not following one. But the scansion is almost perfect. (You could change "To make sure LJ stays up" to "To make LJ stay up".)

You're right, there is no rhyme. I was thinking there's rhyme in the last bit the girls sing, but I ran through it again and you're right.

I chose "To make sure LJ stays up" to match the scansion of "Preparing me to marry." I think "To make LJ stay up" is short a couple of syllables (or requires accenting the incorrect syllable).
