I.
"Selicha, adoni..." a voice said behind me, and just from hearing that, I knew two things: the speaker was not a native born Israeli, and he was relatively new to the country.

II.
I stood outside of my building for a moment, trying to figure out if there was any way I could avoid going upstairs.

III.
I couldn't tell at first what woke me, but then I heard the sound again. Banging in the kitchen.

IV.

At the time, while I was writhing in pain, I never would’ve agreed if you’d told me that falling out of a tree and breaking my leg would turn out to be the best thing that had happened to me in a long time.

V.
"Oy," I said, flopping down -- still fully dressed in my tux -- on the bed. "That was one amazing wedding."


...and I'm going to stop there, because going further back to abandoned WIPs just distresses me.

Those are all in first person. Wow. It's cool to have first person talkers in your head. :) I have a few, mostly women, but I like them. :D

All of my brainfolk, it seems, talk to me in first person. But they have such distinct voices that I can tell them apart easily.

I liked 1,2, and 4 in that order. Also, 1 and 2 sound like good openings to a mystery/suspense story.

Thanks! 1 and 2 are active, current projects. I have to get back to 4, and I'm not sure when I'm ever going to finish 5, but I put it on the list, just to be complete. 3 could also be a mystery story (though it's not, mostly).
