(Setup: gnomi and mabfan are having guests for Shabbat lunch and have received the info from guests on what they can/can't/don't eat)

gnomi: So I still have to figure out a menu for Shabbat.

mabfan: Remember, no herring.

gnomi: Or apples, or olives. Darn!

mabfan: What?

gnomi: There goes my famous apple-herring-olive salad!

Apples are indirectly my fault, as I am sending that guest. He is quite allergic.
