At least on my phone, if you have an MP3 file, you can send it to the phone and then choose it as a custom ring. [personal profile] mabfan did it to create his current ring tones.

Cool. So you don't have to pay ridiculous per-month charges for nifty ringtones?

I'm shopping for a new phone. I think I need to include this capability. I have a number of nifty options to use as ringtones!

(I think I'll use "Wipeout" for my dad's for instance...not quite as funny if you don't know my dad. :-)
