So, it's been in the high-80s/low-90s all day, and I've got guests coming for Shabbat dinner. Do I put up the hot water for after-dinner tea?

Not unless you think the probability of rain tomorrow is high enough (and you like having hot tea after getting soaked). Make iced tea instead, perhaps a minty one :-)

Yeah, I was also going to suggest iced tea, albeit unminty :-)

I was looking for the "are you out of your mind?" option.

I settled for narf (which, as you know, like Chaka or kree in SG-1 can mean any number of things).

We go a step further and pack away our urn for the summer! To be fair, we pack away our cholent crock-pot sooner, but we think of them in the same category...

We keep the hot water maker running 24/7, so we can always make a vat of iced tea (refridgerating after brewing) or a pot of hot tea whenever we like. :)
