Slushing around Manhattan
Feb. 20th, 2003 10:13 am(MAB remarks that these entries done from lynx look
like poetry due to the linebreaks. I'll try not to
do rhyming couplets.)
Yesterday we got up early and went to the Museum
of the City of New York to see the exhibit about
the Horn and Hardart Automats. While there, we
also saw an exhibit on the career of Richard Rogers
and a photo exhibit on Kabul and Manhattan after
September 11, 2001.
After the museum, we headed downtown for lunch
with Stan Schmidt, the editor of _Analog_ magazine,
and then headed back to Queens to pick up something
for our next meeting, with an editor at Roc books.
We had a very good meeting there, after which we
had a couple of minutes to talk to Lynn Flewelling
and her son before we headed back uptown to meet
friends for dinner.
Got back to the house late, checked e-mail, watched
Tuesday's "Buffy" episode, and then went to sleep.
Another busy day today - dentist, lunch with friends,
meeting another friend for coffee, then dinner with
friends.
