Home; sleep; productive day
Feb. 23rd, 2003 03:25 pmWe got home on Friday, but I was unable to post to let people know we were here and fine because I ran out of time before shabbat. We had a lovely dinner with some wonderful friends who - before we left for New York - invited us for dinner on the thought that we'd be too brainfried to think about food when we got home. They were completely right.
I spent the majority of yesterday asleep - I'd gone two full weeks without a real shabbat (week before the NYC trip followed by Boskone, followed by NYC trip). It was good, and I'm much more awake today, despite having gotten up at 6:15 AM.
As for why I've been up since 6:15, well, today MAB went to take the tests to get his provisional teaching license to complete his NASA application (check out
mabfan's journal for more information). Since he had to get up then, I got up with him to see him off. Since then, I've done some TV watching (downloaded "Buffy" for
gem225, watched Saturday's "Trading Spaces"), worked on the next issue of "Burstzine," did a load of laundry (which I now must fetch from the dryer), and did some editing work on a couple of things. And I shoveled out the remaining snow blocking in MAB's car so that he'll be able to get out to go to work tomorrow (since he won't be home until after dark, I figured I'd do what I could to help out).
I just hope I can be as productive once I return to the office tomorrow...
