So, I'm going through the notes I have here in my notepad (on my handheld), and I'm deleting the ones that are no longer relevant or that I have no idea what the context for them was ("4932" was one of them. I have no clue what that was about, so I deleted it).

And then I come across one that says "נחום זאב בן סימה לאה" (Nachum Ze'ev ben Simah Leah). Problem is, I have no idea whose name that is.

Which is why our shul clears out the Mi Sheberach list every Rosh Chodesh and you have to tell the gabbaim each month if you don't want someone removed.

Kadimah does a Mi Sheberach list reset twice a year -- Rosh Hashannah and Pesach -- and assumes people will tell the shul when they want people removed.

Is there a useful date-stamp on the entry? That could jog your memory.

It says 01/18, which I am guessing was 2007 but can't be 100% positive.

Well, you can rest easy that it wasn't 2008--

Unless I time traveled, wrote it in my handheld next Friday, and then came back.

But did you? And if you did, would you remember?

See, that's the problem with time travel. For all I know, I haven't done it yet; I perhaps was wrong about the order -- maybe I traveled *back* from the future *to* next Friday, wrote it in my handheld, and then went back into the future. And then I'd have no memory of it yet. I might not know until next Friday that I went there.

Time travel makes my brain hurt sometimes.

fortunately, you've now put "4932" in your lj, so that in the future, when you and doctor who are trying to remember that all-important, earth-saving four-digit number, you can just go to this entry.

the master isn't on your friends list, is he?

As far as I know, the Master is not here.

Of course, if certain things have happened, the Master may be here and neither he nor I may know it.
