Scene: [personal profile] mabfan and [personal profile] gnomi are watching the TV news and weather before leaving for work. There's a school-and-other-things closings crawl on the bottom of the screen. One pops up: "Logan Airport -- Cancellations."

[personal profile] mabfan: Look. They've canceled "Logan Airport." It hasn't been on that long.

[personal profile] gnomi: I know, but the show was boring. Every episode, airplanes take off, airplanes land. Where's the plot?

Meanwhile, I'm picturing Wolverine as an air traffic controller: Get that frakkin' plane out of the air NOW...

Would that not be "Logan's Airport"? Totally different show.

Though then people might think it was a spin-off of "Logan's Run."

*much giggling*

(I think that a show set at an airport would be kind of...fascinatingly bad. I mean, it could be a comedy, which would be rather awesome. No one likes airports, they were not fun places before 9/11, they are less fun now, but if it was played for laughs it could work. Imagine if Jaye Tyler worked at an airport...such hilarious misanthropy!)

Wings (http://imdb.com/title/tt0098948/) was set in an airport and was cute.

Oh yeah...I vaguely remember that. I mostly remember Tony Shalhoub. I'm going through a very "I miss Wonderfalls!" phase right now...

Of course, once the airport had been open for 30 years, it would have been destroyed, and a new airport built in Denver.

Yeah, but without writers, they'll just have to wing it.

The slow pacing and gorgeous camera work killed it. It was too European to survive American TV, especially in its dark humor.
