I'm not certain why anyone really cares, especially as it's a primary — in theory, the private affairs of the political parties in question.

Hunter S. Thompson once said, and I quite agree, that by the time you get to the actual presidential election, the candidates are generally so middle-of-the-road that either of them could be made president of a major bank with no objection. The real action is in the primary. Plus, since no one votes in primaries, those who show up have more clout. I like clout. Although I'd like clout better if Richardson were still in the running...
