-- Stuff to put on challah: olive oil, zaatar, maybe roasted garlic
-- Starter of some sort (is it too whatever to do corn chowder as a starter?) Corn Chowder
-- Baked ziti
-- Veggie of some sort (marinated cauliflower salad, maybe? maybe ginger and garlic broccoli?) Ginger and Garlic Broccoli
-- Dessert (either chocolate chip cookie bars or, perhaps, chocolate carrot cake. Or, if I'm feeling ambitious, both.)

What great recipes! I enjoy reading about shabbat preparations. It's very inspiring. I think you know I've just started on being observant again. I live alone so I am thinking of having little shabbat dinners at my house.

Thanks! I've been posting my Shabbat menus for a while, linking the recipes when they're available online.

I go through phases of having guests and being guests (or being hermits). I'm in a "want to host, want to cook" phase again.
