Help Me, Oh Knowledgeable Friends

I'm looking to get a microphone that is compatible with my Mac. I'm thinking of this one, of which I've heard good things, but I don't want to settle for it just because it's inexpensive. Does anyone know anything about the Logitech mic? Or can anyone recommend a different one that's good and, say, $100 or under?

Date: 2008-05-20 03:37 pm (UTC)Currently, I'm using a Blue Snowball (http://www.bluemic.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Products&file=index&prod_id=18) which runs about $100 on the Apple Store, or audio retailers like Sweetwater or Musician's Friend. Sometimes it is on sale for about $70. It's USB, and has a switchable setting for cardioid (directional), cardioid with a -10db pad (reduced sensitivity so you can be louder without clipping), and omnidirectional (pick up sounds from every direction).
Again, without a better idea of your needs, I can't recommend something specific...
