Attention Bostonians Commuting by D Train (Green Line)

There has been a major accident (two trains collided) on the D line between Waban and Woodland. They are currently busing from Reservoir to Riverside.

People for whom this is their regular commute... please check in.

Yikes! That's my branch of the T, although I rarely take it anymore. I'll be keeping an eye on this story.

Don't you just *love* how the MBTA website simply says "Green Line is being diverted due to an accident and medical emergency near Woodland Station."?!

the exact same thing (or at least something similar) happened to the chicago green line today as well.

true...it wasn't nearly as bad. The operator ignored a red light and then manually overrode an emergency switch that would've stopped the train, ending up jumping a track. the Boston one was much worse...both made the Chicago news, but i'm pretty sure Chicago didn't make Boston news.

It's my sister's commute. I panic-called her when I heard the news and her response was "...blink...I'm in Las Vegas this week. I'm fine. See you Saturday." (I knew she was in Vegas on a facts-about-the-current-universe level, I just panicked.)
