When I said it felt like August, I meant the weather. This was not a demand that you *play* like it's August. The usual way of things is that you slump *after* the All-Star break, not before.

Please make a note of this and return to your winning ways. You can resume slumping in actual August.

Sincerely,

A loyal denizen of Red Sox Nation

It's not the Sox' fault. The Devil Rays - sorry, just the Rays now - have clearly made a deal with the Devil. The whole name change thing is a ruse.

But how else can you account for a perpetually terrible team being in first on July 1?

They'd better shape up, or they'll be disciplined.

Hmmm.

Didn't they play a team that I hold dear recently? ;)

Though if they insist on building an outdoor stadium on an historic site? I'm going to disown them.

Apropos of nothing...

We have shared a HUG in real life.

This is proof that a Red Sox fan and a Yankee fan can HUG without either of them bursting into flame.

Also, given that the Red Sox have won two Series in the last five years, that icon seems a bit outdated.

Hey, I have no complaint about how the Red Sox have been playing.
