You know, it took me forever to figure out what he even tried to write. It reminds me of a philosophy book, Forms of Explanation, where it raised the question of when a really bad explanation stops being an explanation at all. The example, which is just about the only thing that stuck with me from the book, was "If you ask me for a letter opener and I hand you a carrot, did I just give you a very bad letter opener, or no letter opener at all?"

I feel sort of the same way about this guy.
