...do humans *really* need oxygen? Breathing is overrated, really. I haven't been able to do so with much regularity since last week Tuesday.

Or we should all have gills.

Breathe in ... breathe out.
Breathe in ... breathe out.

Forget this, and enlightenment will be the least of your problems.

From what I've read, city planners have a lot to do with it -- there's been a trend in recent decades to plant male trees that produce lots of pollen, rather than female trees that produce flowers, fruit and seeds that then have to be cleaned off the sidewalks.

Yes, humans really need oxygen. Stop breathing long enough and everything else become so much harder to do...

Or do a search on "Breatharian" and be scared, be very very scared.

Please tell your immune system:

"Tree pollen is my friend."

"Tree pollen will not hurt me."

"Tree pollen will not bite me and throw me in the basement."

Oh wait, that's clowns.

I am sad to report that oxygen is, indeed, a necessité de la vie. Medical science clearly indicates that everyone who has tried to do without it has done, um, poorly.

We can work on the gills thing, though.

Bad trees.

Perhaps you need someone exciting and attractive to offer constant mouth-to-mouth techniques to alleviate your ... um, frustration? *G*

I have one of those, but it's frowned upon in my office (where I'm currently having the aforementioned oxygen issues). :-(

In the interests of workplace health and safety, though ... :-)

The trick isn't so much how much oxygen you're getting in, but how much CO2 you're able to expel.

Trust me on this.

Like G'Kar, then. ;)
