There are 26 Zevs on the 2001 UK electoral rolls, but only 22 Nomis. I wonder what that means.

OTOH, there are 12 292 Naomis, so your rarity is only a result of your parents using an odd spelling. There are no Z'evs or Ze'evs, but that may just be an artifact of the database design (either yournotme's or the Electoral Commission's). There are 13 Zeevs; I assume that most of them share my name, but are spelling out the half-vowel that properly belongs between the Z and the E. Some of the Zeevs may actually be Zivs - there are only 2 Zivs listed. (Note to readers who don't speak Hebrew: trust me, Zev and Ziv look the same in English, but they are different names, they're pronounced differently, they mean different things, and in Hebrew they are spelled completely differently and can't be confused.) There are also 79 Wolfs; some of them may be Jewish, and have the Hebrew name Zev, but a good many of them will be German, and Wolf is the only name they have. There are 17 Wulfs; I assume that most of them are not Jewish. There are no Volfs or Vulfs. But counting all the Zevs, Zeevs, Wolfs, and Wulfs, there are only 135 of me. So there.

Hmmm. Neither my husband (still a UK citizen, though a US resident) nor his parents (both UK residents) seem to exist.

One of my friends there has 22 of himself, though.
