Kosher Restaurants in NY/NJ?

My father is driving down to Maryland in a couple of weeks, and he is looking for kosher restaurant recommendations in the area between the Tappan Zee Bridge and the Garden State Parkway. Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

If he's willing to go 15 minutes to half an hour out of his way he'll be in Monsey. If he's willing to eat snack food including sandwiches, then if he goes down the Palisades Parkway instead of the Garden State the gas station/rest stop near the NY/NJ border has kosher sandwiches, chalav yisrael milk and snacks, and other amenities.

Is a side trip to Teaneck in the cards? On account of because there are many restaurants there. Many.

::NOTE:: - as a non-driver who knows that the city full of Jews where her mom lives is vaguely near the Garden State Parkway I have no clue just where he will be in NJ. Just that there is kosher food in mass quantities there.
