As reported in this morning's Boston Globe, Royal Caribbean has purchased advertising space inside the tunnel between the Harvard and Central stops on the Red Line. And I experienced this new advertising this morning. My opinion? Meh. Honestly, if I hadn't read the article on the bus on the way to the T, I wouldn't have known to be looking for it, and I likely would've been too engrossed in my book/paper/nap to notice the ad flashing by.

Also, as one of my commuting buddies pointed out, isn't tunnel access restricted to T employees? I (and she) expressed hope that our tax dollars weren't paying for the time the T employees were installing the Royal Caribbean ad.

Actually, the ads are designed so that they can only be seen by the people wizzing by.

Anyone looking straight at the ads will only see a wierd, blurry image.

Ironically enough, I think I was reading about those ads as I was going past Harvard... ;)
