New Frontiers in Advertising
Aug. 18th, 2004 09:23 amAs reported in this morning's Boston Globe, Royal Caribbean has purchased advertising space inside the tunnel between the Harvard and Central stops on the Red Line. And I experienced this new advertising this morning. My opinion? Meh. Honestly, if I hadn't read the article on the bus on the way to the T, I wouldn't have known to be looking for it, and I likely would've been too engrossed in my book/paper/nap to notice the ad flashing by.
Also, as one of my commuting buddies pointed out, isn't tunnel access restricted to T employees? I (and she) expressed hope that our tax dollars weren't paying for the time the T employees were installing the Royal Caribbean ad.
