-- It occurred to me that I'm getting many more comments on posts from women than from men. So I decided to do an analysis of my friends list (not that only friends comment, but I figured there might be some sort of correlation). My friend-of list (who, I assume, read me at least once in a while) comprises: 63 women, 28 men, 10 fic journals (OK, the fic journals don't read me; they're here purely for completeness), 3 unknown.

-- I've developed a sudden interest in fanvids. Donno exactly where this came from. But if you know of good sources thereof, I'd love to be pointed there. Fandoms I follow most are West Wing, Smallville, Sports Night, and The Sentinel. Shippy, non-shippy - I don't care. But I'd prefer happy to angsty (not that I am against angsty songs/vids. I'll just save them for watching later).

-- A reminder: if you've sent me e-mail and it's bounced (or you haven't heard back from me in over a week), please check the e-mail address you're sending it to. If you're using the @theworld address, you might want to choose another option (and if you don't know any other e-mail addresses for me, ping me here and I'll send you a new e-mail address to use).

-- I discovered this week that I am not the only one who finds both chickens and moose inherently funny. That was actually a good thing to know.

-- Why is it that the T has added new, spiffy, handicapped-accessible buses to the 66 line and simultaneously rerouted the end of the to-Harvard trip to end at the non-accessible entrance to Harvard station? What were they thinking?

-- And speaking of the new buses, I'm still deciding if I like them or not. They seem to have taken away leg room and maneuverability in the aisle, but I like the proliferation of lower hanging straps (so I don't have to stand on my tiptoes to hang on) and the lack of entry steps.

My biggest problem is that World is bouncing all e-mail from remailers. Thus, any e-mail sent to a forwarding address - such as my gnomi@ alum dot bu dot edu address - is automatically bounced. And I've lost some business-critical mail this way. Mail sent directly to my @theworld address gets through about 85% of the time (there are some ISPs - such as comcast.net - that still don't get through, even when mail is sent directly). But I get a lot of redirected mail, and none of it successfully gets through to World.

Ah. I only have the one address so I guess I'm not having that problem. (Though I am getting mail from several N4 lists - that must be different.)
